Our Investments
Investor creates value by investing capital in holdings and assuming an active and committed role in their development. Investor’s operations are conducted in two business areas: Core Investments and Financial Investments.
The mix of well established, leading companies, growth companies, wholly owned subsidiaries and financial investments spreads risks well and provides a solid base for generating healthy long-term returns to shareholders.
Each business area has a different focus, which creates a flexible platform for taking advantage of attractive new investment opportunities in several sectors.
The total value of Investor’s holdings on December 31, 2011 amounted to SEK 173 bn. 79 percent of Investor’s total assets correspond to Core Investments and 21 percent correspond to Financial Investments.
Within Core Investments, 69 percent of total assets correspond to listed companies, and 10 percent correspond to Subsidiaries. Within Financial Investments, EQT corresponds to 8 percent of total assets, Investor Growth Capital corresponds to 6 percent and partner-owned investments correspond to 7 percent.
The largest investments on December 31, 2011 in terms of value where Atlas Copco, ABB and SEB which together accounted for 42 percent of Investor’s total assets.
Investor’s sector exposure was: Industrial 34 percent, Healthcare 27 percent, Financials 15 percent, IT & Telecom 14 percent, Consumer discretionary 8 percent and Other 2 percent.
